About Cycles LaMoure

CYCLES LAMOURE FRAMES are individually hand crafted by frame builder Mitch LaMoure in Roseburg, Oregon. Mitch built his first frame on his dresser drawer in Provo, Utah. That was back in 1982. After building frames in Utah, California and Washington for the next 12 years, he decided to settle down to a warmer climate.
Mitch has been a USCF licensed racer since 1975. After many seasons in Northern California as a cat1 and 2 racer, he now races as a master and a cat 3. He rides every day, rain or shine, which is a must here in Oregon.
Mitch has also been a USCF licensed coach and teaches riding skills at the local college.
If you’re ever North on I-5 stop in and see us. We have a full service store called The Bicycle Shop in downtown Roseburg, Oregon. We can get you any components you might need and can usually match mail order prices.

Truly Custom

There are many highly talented custom frame builders out there, all of which demand a high price for their efforts. However, most builders build only semi-custom frames by insisting on using their choice of tubing, lugs, fork crowns, ect. Some may even limit their custom frames to certain frame styles and geometry.

Mitch understands not all people have "off the rack" measurements; men and women are definetly built differently. Why then should you expect to find a perfect fit when you are limited by the builder's idea of size and tubing? You have the freedom to customize your own frame. Of course, with Mitch LaMoure's vast knowledge of tubing, size and fitting, if you don't know what's best for you, he can determine the perfect fit from the information you give him.

No matter what kind of cyclist you are, a LAMOURE frame can make all the difference in your performance and enjoyment of the sport.

Our Frames

All LAMOURE FRAMES are custom tailored to the unique needs, talents and size of the individual customer. Once the measurements have been taken, Mitch will talk with you about the type of riding you do and the feel you want out of your custom frame. The more information the better in designing your personalized LAMOURE FRAME.

In staying with the tradition of custom frame builders, Mitch only builds with the most high quality materials available. Chromoly tubing such as Columbus, Tange Reynolds and Mitch's preferred chromoly tubing, True Temper may be used. For the ultra light weight, AERMET 100 is the tubing of choice. This super strong tubing from the air and space industry is lighter than titanium with twice it's strength and stiffness.

As a customer, you have the privilege of choosing the materials you want and are best suited for you. Your input in design plans are welcome so that your CYCLES LAMOURE FRAME will be truly customized for you.

A comment from Mitch regarding his BTC equipped bike

"I’ve been building hand crafted frames since 1983. As an active cyclist I started racing road bikes in 1976. I raced for many years as a cat 1 & 2 racer and now race as a master. If you want a folding bike, the S & S coupling is the only way to go. You can ride your own bike with all the benefits of a folding bike. I ride mine every day, rain or shine (which is a must here in Oregon), with no adverse affects."
